Project Pipeline
Dover Castle Metals mining tenements are located in the Herberton Tin Fields, 2.5 hours south-west of Cairns, Queensland. The mining tenements cover approximately 225 square kilometres, as shown in the figure below.
Key infrastructure is easily accessible, with the rail and road network intersecting EPM27231, and ports available in both Cairns and Townsville.
Our strong pipeline of projects spanning our mineral-rich tenements includes:
- Our flagship project, Dover Castle;
- Tommy Burns;
- Koorboora; and
- Wolfram Line.
In addition to these priority projects, there are other promising prospects located across our tenements, including Fitz’s Gold. These will be explored in due course.
A central focus for the Company between 2020 and 2022 was devising new and novel methods through Research and Development (R&D), scientific research and experimentation, with the aim to recover, monetise and eventually rehabilitate the existing Legacy Ore at ML20499 and tailing dams on DCM tenements. Extensive work was also carried out quantifying volume and composition of material, preliminary financial modelling, stakeholder engagement, processing plant design, earthworks and equipment purchase. Processing plant concept images are provided below. The company was able to carry out much of this work thanks to Federal Government’s R&D Tax Incentive program. Whilst the project was in advanced stages in late 2022, new management have placed this project on hold, with capital currently focussed on exploration.
Dover Castle Metals is also thankful to have been awarded several grants under the Queensland Government’s Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI), which builds on the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy, to support critical mineral exploration.
Dover Castle Metals has established essential infrastructure to support exploration, including a basecamp, core processing and logging shed, and site access tracks.
