Environmental Management
Dover Castle Metals is committed to proactive and effective environmental management across all aspects of our operations.
Our systems and procedures are aligned with State and Federal environmental legislation and regulations, and ensure compliance with the Environmental Authorities governing our mining lease and EPMs.
Our approach is characterised by clear roles and responsibilities, as well as robust environmental risk assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting. In our efforts to avoid and reduce environmental impacts, we work closely with Traditional Owners, landowners, and relevant Government Departments, as well as leading independent environmental experts as needed.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Abandoned Mines Department of the Queensland Government, Dover Castle Metals has conducted extensive research into innovative methods for rehabilitating abandoned mine shafts. By addressing these legacy impacts, we aim to to positively contribute to environmental conservation efforts on our own tenements and in the surrounding area.
